Handmade iron-on repair patches embroidered with sashiko-inspired stitching. Crafted in Aotearoa using off-cuts from KRYSZSTOF garments, each patch gives surplus fabric a second life while helping to reinforce worn areas, mend holes, and extend the life of your clothing—or simply add a unique decorative detail.
Inspired by the philosophy of visible mending, these patches celebrate repair as an act of care. Whether you're restoring a well-loved garment or adding your own creative touch, each patch is designed to encourage a more thoughtful, circular approach to the clothes we wear.
How to Apply patch_
Set your iron to a medium-high heat with the steam function turned off.
Position the patch over the hole or worn area with the adhesive side facing down against the garment.
Cover the patch with a pressing cloth or a piece of cotton fabric to protect both the patch and your garment.
Press firmly with the iron for 20–30 seconds without moving it around.
Turn the garment inside out and press the reverse side for a further 20–30 seconds where possible.
Allow the patch to cool completely before checking that it has bonded securely.
For added strength and longevity, stitch around the perimeter of the patch once it has been ironed in place. This is especially recommended for frequently worn garments, high-stress areas such as knees and elbows, or items that will be washed regularly.
Care_
Wait at least 24 hours before washing your garment. Wash inside out on a gentle cycle and avoid tumble drying where possible. If the edges begin to lift over time, simply reapply heat with your iron or secure them with a few additional stitches.
