REPAIR_
Clothing evolves with us, reflecting the subtle shifts in identity we experience each day. We see repair as a way to honour that journey—embracing the marks of wear as part of a garment’s whakapapa. Every stitch, fade, and fray speaks to its story. Rather than discard what’s worn, we choose to restore, bringing things back together with care. In a culture of disposability, repair is a quiet but powerful act of connection and resistance.
adjust_
Our bodies and lives aren’t static—so why should our clothes be? We offer adjustments to help garments move with you, not against you. Whether it’s a shift in fit, function, or feel, altering a piece is about deepening your connection to it. It's another layer in its whakapapa, shaped by your evolving identity. Adjustment isn’t about chasing perfection—it’s about making space for change, comfort, and longevity.
Rebirth_
Reconstruction is more than transformation—it’s an act of respect. Guided by tikanga, we honour a garment’s whakapapa while reshaping it for new life. It’s a balance of manaakitanga, whakawhanaungatanga, and kaitiakitanga—care, connection, and guardianship. Through this process, we don’t erase the past; we build on it, giving form to change while staying grounded in relationship—to people, materials, and Papatūānuku.

Alterations & Reworking Are Priced by Kōrero:
Adjustment and reconstruction aren’t just technical tasks—they’re acts of transformation. Whether it’s reshaping a garment to better honour your body or reimagining it entirely, this kind of work moves beyond measurement. It’s a form of rebirth, where the whakapapa of a piece continues through change.
Because each garment and wearer is unique, we don’t offer fixed pricing for alterations or reworking. Instead, we begin with kōrero—a collaborative conversation grounded in care, curiosity, and respect. This allows us to understand your needs, the garment’s potential, and the intention behind the change.
From there, we offer a quote that reflects the true nature of the work: not just labour, but time, artistry, and the tikanga of giving a piece new life. Through kōrero, the process becomes relational—not transactional—ensuring every transformation is done with integrity and purpose.
Preferably within Whanganui-a-Tara. Postal options available per request.
